Technical Guidance or Training

Tutorials are like a helping hand.

From time to time, I run into clients who are completely stuck with their project and software. Could I take a look at it? Could I show them how to perform this task themselves? Absolutely.

If I am hired to design a book or a brochure or a website, I use powerful software. However, many people may not have this software and choose software that works with most computers.

I have guided people through their issues over the phone, I have worked through issues via email and most recently, I have provided a screenshot-style recording, a video with my voice-over, with more detailed step-by-step explanations.

As an example: the client was typing a portion of her Microsoft Word document and she wished to indicate a vocabulary list in two different languages, one in English which needed to be left justified and one in a language that needed to be right justified, as it is read from right to left. I sent her a screengrab video with a little voice-over, showing her how to do it. She said she just watched my video twice and she got it. Relieved and overjoyed.

  • I offer one-on-one training (via telephone), in increments of 1 hour or 4 hours. If you need something different, drop me a line.
  • I offer a personalized video that you can watch when you want.
  • And I offer website design. Visit my Portfolio to see some examples of my work.

And lastly, I’m starting up a series of YouTube tutorials on some neat things that I find handy to know about web design. While you are deciding if you want to design your website yourself or if you’d like to have me do it, feel free to view them as a sampler.
